Letter from the President

I am honored to step into the role of President for Kids Chance of South Carolina, following in the footsteps of our past-President, Betsy Mapes. I am so very thankful for my fellow Board members trusting me to serve in this role, and for our director, Angie Kohl for her tireless work on behalf of such a great cause.

As always, the New Year is a time to both reflect on past successes and to look forward to what’s to come. Because of the generosity of our many Scholarship Society partners, donors and volunteers and participants for our various fundraisers, Kids Chance of South Carolina has awarded 495 scholarships totaling $1,294,471.31 over the years.

And while we have accomplished much, with your help I am hopeful we can work together to fulfill our mission on a greater scale in the near future. In short: “more money for more kids.” One of the most special things about Kids Chance to me is seeing people from all areas of the workers’ compensation industry work together towards a common worthwhile goal and although we have many long-term donors and partners, I believe we can widen our reach as an organization going forward.

With that, I ask that you consider becoming a Scholarship Society partner if you are not already. Any donation amount is much appreciated. If you are already an annual donor, please take a moment to think of other potential contributors in your circle. Lastly, if you have not attended a Kids Chance event before – either one of our golf tournaments, the Reverse Raffle, or the Silent Auction at the SCWCEA conference – I welcome you to join us this year! If you want to help but are unsure of where to start, please just reach out.

I once again thank you for allowing me to serve alongside you in this new role. I truly appreciate your support and encourage you to share any feedback and ideas you may have as we work together in the upcoming year.

Matt Moser
President
